Bottom up Adaptation Strategies for a Sustainable Europe

Muriel Bonjean Stanton

Muriel is a postgraduate research student at the University Leeds, in the Sustainability Research Institute (School of Earth and Environment). Her PhD research is funded by the BASE project.

Muriel is interested in exploring how private sector organisations in Europe perceive the risks associated with climate variability and change and in understanding how adaptation decisions are made within these organisations and what these are. Muriel is also interested in unraveling  the role(s) (if any) that EU-level and EU Members' adaptation governance play in shaping these decisions.

Previously, Muriel worked as an Adaptation Analyst for the Global Climate Adaptation Partnership (UK) and as a Researcher for the University of Oxford (UK), the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UK), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) and the US Environmental Protection Agency (USA).
