Bottom up Adaptation Strategies for a Sustainable Europe

Blanka Louckova

Blanka is a researcher at the Department of Human Dimensions of Global Change. Her research focuses on natural disasters (particularly floods) and vulnerability of ecosystem services. She is also interested in issues related with flood risk and resilience of communities (flood risk perception, flood management performance) and adaptive water management (the role of natural water retention measures in flood management strategies).

Blanka’s work for BASE includes the analysis of the adaptation measures in water sector and identifying strategies for improving adaptation policy in this sector in the Czech Republic.
